Are you a bit of a nitpicker? Do you love technology when it’s working great, and get annoyed when it isn’t (maybe even a little unreasonably so)? A clear thinker and writer? Join our team at Plek as a quality assurance tester, where we're on a mission to help organisations collaborate better, learn more, and do better work.

About Us

At Plek, we empower HR teams and employees to excel in their work. We build a suite of online collaboration tools designed to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and foster a culture of communication and learning.

What You’ll Do Here

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Tester to join our team, responsible for ensuring the reliability, usability, and performance of our suite. In this role, you will help uncover user requirements and expected outcomes - #shiftleft! -, and manually test new features built by the development team in an agile environment. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping user experience and product functionality from conception to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify user requirements and acceptance criteria.

- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for manual testing.

- Perform thorough testing of software applications across various modules and scenarios.

- Document and report defects, track resolutions, and ensure timely delivery of bug fixes.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on product usability and performance.

- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in quality assurance and testing methodologies.

Qualifications

We’re looking for a junior or medior level tester - but: if you’ve tried programming and think QA is more up your alley, we also want to hear from you. So:

- Previous experience in quality assurance testing, preferably in a SaaS environment, or, alternatively: up to two years professional programming experience and interested in moving to a QA role

- Proficiency in manual testing techniques and tools. (Proficiency in automated testing tools is considered a plus, of course, but the main focus is not on automation for now.)

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly learn and understand complex systems.

- Excellent communication skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Desire to work effectively in an agile development environment.

- Experience with permission-based roles and complex user scenarios is a plus.
